Why this Kolaveri Di (Hip-Hop Version)- Cliche Ft. James Ferguson

We first had a listen to the original Kolaveri Di song in January. The song was so catchy that we decided on a Rap Version mixed in with a little Alternative flavor. I was born in Mumbai, India and I moved to Vancouver at a young age, so we had to do a remix for all my people back home. Adding James Ferguson to the mix brought a little bit more of a cultural diversity. The instrumental is a mix of the original song with a hip hop influence. Big shout out to Dhanush and his team on a great original track. This is a mere reflection of how many ears this song has reached around the world. Kudos on a Hit.

Whats your Superbowl Pick?????

My guess for the Superbowl has to be the NY Giants. Even though the Pats have an advantage with their very experienced quarterback, I feel like the NY Giants have been on a roll ever since their last meeting with the Dallas Cowboys. The running game is solid with Bradshaw and Jacobs; the receiving core is arguably the best in the NFL with Cruz, Nicks, and Manningham; and the defense is playing at a all time high. Its hard not to pick them to win this one.

Good luck to the Patriots and the Giants!

One of the most interesting aspects of Rap music has to be the variety and style of what a fan gets to pick from. We've come across tons of people who have different likes, dislikes, views and opinions. The listeners that follow No Regrets Music, really believe in us. However on the flip side, there are listeners that don't follow us, but we still show them mad love and respect for giving us a chance. We understand that we cannot appeal to every single audience, but we still reach out as much as we can. For instance, some people pick Pepsi and some select Coca-Cola; it really depends on your taste.

There are talented rap artists around the world making quality music; working hard at their craft, and providing for their fans. Just knowing that so much talent is present in rap/hip-hop music, gives us that good feeling.

Just another night at the office!

I was at Artistic Space Studios last night, working on some recordings as usual; and I really wanted to share this image with the fans. Being at the studio for an artist could be compared to an athlete playing on his home court. We prepare, practice, and deliver the final product at the lab; using the latest edition of Pro Tools. Working on my craft that I love so much, in an amazing atmosphere, is an incredible feeling.

The Lockout

November 25th, 2011 David Stern announced that the NBA Lockout was officially over and all training camps would start on Dec. 9th. 66 games are set for the season & it all started on Christmas day. The lockout was over and the NBA is back.

Anyhow, during the lockout, it made me realize how many fans missed watching the sport. From Tweets to Facebook statuses, people showed their love via different social networks. The sport has been part of our urban hip/hop rap culture for decades & when it was not around, it really felt like something was missing from the formula. A lot of urban fashion also stems from basketball. There have been plenty of fashion trends set in the past such as wearing headbands, wrist bands, throwback jerseys, hats, & arm bands. Whether its your local YMCA gym, or just a regular night out; the trends are still visible.

I personally feel that the NBA brings our society closer as a unit and gives the younger generation something positive to look up to. Players such as Dwayne Wade & Derrick Rose are role models for millions of fans.

Basketball, hip/hop rap music, urban fashion all go hand in hand.
Dating back in the day when everybody was rocking throwback nba
jerseys and hats! Regardless of your choice in teams, watching basketball gives us all a social activity & a interesting topic to chat about. Even though a
chunk of the season was a write off due to the lockout, I will gladly
accept having the rest of the season back on TV. I STILL BELIEVE!

Rest In Peace: Nate Dogg

I just sat down with the No Regrets team and this is what they had to say about the legend passing away:

Scoota: Nate dogg was one of the guys that started the gfunk era and he brought a different aspect to hiphop. He almost was rapping with a melody which made it easy for a listeners ears. This only shows me tomorrow is never promised and with everything he accomplished in the span of his short years, people should learn off this and not take life for granted.

Cliche: Growin up listenin to artists like snoop, pac, dre, biggie; Nate Dogg was a name you could not leave out. One particular song aside from all his other hits that I loved, was "Friends" which had warren g and snoop dogg on the track as well. Id have that on repeat almost everyday for a month. Life is short though and clocks keep ticking for everyone. No matter how rich or how much fame you have. Nate Dogg went too early.

TNT also mentioned that they looked up to nate dogg because he helped many artists with his collaborations. Another hiphop legend that is gone but will never be forgotten.

RIP Nate Dogg and God bless his close family and friends.
